The development of postmodern thought has significantly transformed the way society understands knowledge, truth, and value systems, including in the field of education. This transformation is characterized by the emergence of value relativism, pluralistic perspectives, and the deconstruction of traditional authorities of knowledge that have long served as the foundation of educational practices. Such conditions present new challenges for education in maintaining value orientations capable of shaping students’ character and moral responsibility. This study aims to analyze the concept of axiology in the philosophy of education, examine the influence of postmodernism on educational values, and explain the relevance of axiology as a normative foundation for education in the postmodern era. This research employs a qualitative approach through library research and philosophical inquiry. Data were collected through documentation studies of books, scientific articles, nationally accredited journals, internationally indexed journals, and other relevant academic sources. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis, including data reduction, thematic classification, philosophical interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that axiology plays a fundamental role in determining the direction and objectives of education through the reinforcement of moral, social, spiritual, and humanistic values. Meanwhile, postmodernism presents challenges in the form of value relativism while simultaneously creating opportunities for pluralism, dialogue, and respect for diversity. This study concludes that educational axiology functions as a normative framework capable of balancing freedom of thought and moral responsibility in educational practices. The implications of this study highlight the importance of strengthening character education, integrating educational philosophy into curricula, and developing educational policies oriented toward humanistic values within the dynamics of postmodern society.
